Corrections

This publication treats being correctable as part of its method. When an error of fact, citation, or evidence characterisation is verified, the article is corrected with a dated note at the point of change, and the correction is recorded on this page permanently — including what was wrong and why.

Where a correction affects a pattern in the register, the change is entered in that pattern’s longitudinal history, visibly. Patterns that are narrowed, contested, or discarded stay in the register with their full record; nothing is quietly rewritten.

To report a suspected error or challenge a finding, use the feedback route. Anyone may, without conditions and without justifying the challenge.

What follows is deliberately modest, and stated here so it is not discovered later: we judge whether a claim is shown to be wrong, there is no timescale, and we do not undertake to reply — a challenge that does not result in a correction may get no response. What we do hold ourselves to is this page. Verified errors are corrected in the open and recorded here, permanently, whoever found them.
