A featured perspective — placeholder
A one-sentence standfirst that sets up the argument — replace with the real piece.
This is a safe placeholder demonstrating the Perspectives layout — byline, standfirst, pull-quote and reference list. Replace it (or delete it) when you have a real piece.
Perspectives is where a featured original article or an invited contribution lives: longer than a Signal, argued under a named byline, and set apart from the synthesised intelligence. Write in full prose — the house design system applies automatically, so there is no separate styling step.
A pull-quote pulls one line out at display size — use it once, for the sentence the piece turns on.
If a contribution makes a clinical or factual claim, that claim needs a verified entry in the sources: list, exactly as for any editorial copy on the site (the static-copy discipline). A purely argumentative piece that makes no such claim needs none. To feature a piece alongside a given Monthly edition, set linked_month: to that edition’s month.
